We had a wonderful and most enjoyable day yesterday with Chris our guide to New Norcia Everything was seamless. Felt safe with his driving (can’t always be said of others), his knowledge helped to make our overall day a most memorable experience from beginning to end. New Norcia is an absolutely fascinating, historical destination and the quality of the walking tour of the township was excellent. Morning tea and lunch were also very well done

New Norcia is a township of magnificent, Spanish-influenced, heritage-listed buildings, olive trees and church bells nestled in a picturesque valley in the heart of the Western Australian bush. Established 1847 by Spanish Benedictine monks as a mission for the Aboriginal people, New Norcia has been a centre of education for indigenous and non-indigenous children and is currently home to an active Benedictine monastic community.
